I’m so excited to share this news with you guys - Billy Currington has cut Until You for his new cd, “Enjoy Yourself”, that comes out September 21st.
This is a dream come true for me. 1 I LOVE what Billy does. Soulful country holds a very special place in my heart and “Dont” is one of my favorite country songs of all time. 2. When I started writing songs at MTSU 14 years ago (14?!?!?!) I started writing songs in hopes that OTHER people would sing them. I had gone to school to play drums, and at the time, the thought of me singing my songs had the likelihood of me climbing Everest and opening a spa at the top. Obviously things changed a bit, but that was why I started writing - to hear other people singing the lyrics and melodies I had dreamt up.
I got to hear it yesterday and it sounds SO amazing. Billy had a real vision for it and you can hear his love of the song in how great it came out - “Enjoy Yourself” comes out the 21st - make sure to check it out!
By the way, the name of the spa on everest is called the “Hilary Step-on-in”.
